Alberta does not have any Provincial sales tax. For Canadian customers, Federal GST tax will be added to your order. How Much are Shipping Costs? TOP
Shipping is done by Airmail and packages are shipped out within 2 business days. For the USA, Shipping for Canada is $3.50 US for the first item and $3.00 US for each additional item. Shipping is $3.50 US for the first item and $2.50 US for each additional item. For Other Countries, Shipping for the first item is $5.50 US for the first item and $4.00 US for a second item with the same order. After that the shipping cost goes up considerably higher as postage costs go by weight. For countries outside Canada and the US, it is better to put in an order of 4 items and a second order for the balance of items and have 2 packages arrive. We will always check the shipping costs charged to you by our Shopping Cart and if actual shipping costs are less, we will refund the difference back to you through Paypal. For buyers purchasing small size collars, we will refund you the difference if they are less costly to ship. How Will My Order Be Shipped? TOP
We are located in Alberta, Canada. All orders are shipped by Canada Post mail. We use Airmail for orders going to the USA and all other countries. It is usually reliable and costs you much less for shipping than express mail or couriers.

Approximate arrival times after being mailed are as follows:
for Canada: usually 7-8 days
for the USA: usually 10-14 days
for the UK, France: usually 10-14 days
for other countries: usually 14-21 days
Please allow extra time for mail to arrive when there is a holiday or during the Christmas rush. We are not responsible if the postal system is not on time and your order is delayed or lost in the mail, but we do ship orders out promptly. All Sales are Final. All of our products are new and carefully made with quality and the safety of your dog in mind. Our collars have been tried and approved by Greyhound rescues and customers all over the world as well as our own dogs for years. I understand that in error you may purchase the wrong size. If so, you may email me at regalhound@efirehose.net to discuss the return of your purchase as long as it is UNWORN and UNUSED only. All postage costs to are the buyer's responsiblity and we do not refund shipping fees or return postage costs. Can you make me a custom size or color item? TOP
I do offer the most popular sizes and styles but due to time restrictions, I cannot make custom orders or custom sizes. How do I measure my dog's neck for the right size collar? TOP
Measure your dog's neck using a flexible tape measure. Measure snugly against your pet's skin. Collars are sized in inches. Take two measurements. First, measure around the narrowest part of the neck right behind the dog's ears. This is the smallest measurement in inches your dog will need. Second, use the tape measure and run the tape under the dog's chin and up over the head in front of the ears to get the size of the dog's head. This is the largest size you will need as Martingale collars slip on over the dog's head. Greyhounds and Whippets usually have small size heads and martingale collars fit nicely over the head. For other breeds this head measurement is important as you need enough room to be able to slip the collar over the dog's head as they do not open with a buckle to put them on. Please measure your dog to make sure the collar you chose will fit! How do I adjust the Martingale Collar to fit? TOP
All of our Martingale collars are made to be fully adjustable. Please see our how to measure your dog's neck question for instructions on this very important step. Before buying, make sure the collar will fit your dog. The collar should be 1 inch larger in size than your dog's smallest neck measurement for comfort and large enough to fit over the dog's head. * When your collar arrives it will be shipped and packaged in it's smallest size (un-expanded). Martingale collars have a back adjusting buckle and you will find that over to one side of the collar close to where our Regal Hound Designs brand name tag is sewn. Before you attempt to put the collar over your dog's head make sure to expand the collar to it's largest size first. To do this you will need to use one hand to hold the back adjusting buckle and the other hand to feed the collar gently through the buckle until it opens up and the back adjusting buckle is over to the opposite side of the collar. Then slip the Martingale collar over your dog's head and position in a comfortable spot between the top and middle sections of the dog's neck. While the collar is on your dog, feed the collar back through and adjust the buckle to fit your dog and take up any slack. Do not try and force the collar over your dog's head without expanding it fully first. From time to time and prior to going for a walk check the adjustment of the collar to make sure it has a proper fit. Are your collars lined? TOP
All of our 2 inch and 1.5 inch Martingale collars are fully lined in beautiful washable heavy weight Satin. The type of washable satin found on the edges of good quality blankets. We do not line any of our 1 inch regular, 1 inch extra large, or 3/4 inch small Martingale collars in Satin. As well as Greyhounds, they are worn by many breeds of dogs for training and everyday wear. With regular use, most unlined collars will not wear off the fur on your dog's neck. Why do you sew extra D-rings on the side of your 1" Martingales? TOP
We designed our 1 inch wide regular and 1 inch extra large size collars this way at the request of the Greyhound Rescues! Attaching dog tags to the center loop of the collar which tightens when pulled on can be a safety issue if the tags get caught on something and the collar tightens around the dog's neck. Our D-rings on the main loop of the collar are either one piece cast or welded. The light weight D-rings I attach to the side of the collar are non-welded. This is in case your dog does get his dog tags caught on something and pulls. Having an extra D-ring on the side for dog tags also keeps the tags away from the leash when it is attached. Please note that these extra side mounted D-rings are lightweight and not welded and should never be used to attach a leash! Always use the heavy duty one piece cast or welded D-ring located on the center loop of the Martingale collar for your leash. Do you have matching leashes for collars? TOP
We do have a selection of some Martingale Collar and Leash Sets if you are looking for an exact matching set! We also offer durable solid color 5 foot long leashes trimmed in grosgrain ribbon in a rainbow of colors. They are decorated on one side with trim and the extra strong 820 pound strength webbing underneath is black. Unless the collar you are trying to match up is a very different type of color shade, most collars can be matched up with a beautiful solid color 5' leash for a very fashionable look. We cannot stock matching leashes for all collars and many of the 1.5" and 2" collar trims we use do not come in a smaller 1" width to fit a matching leash. Can your collars and leashes be washed? TOP
Yes! Most of our collars and leashes can be hand washed in cold water or washed in a front loading washer in cold water (only) and mild detergent and hung up to dry. (Do not wash in regular top-loading washing machines as the collar or leash can catch on the machine center agitator and may be damaged). Hang to dry and do not put in the dryer. Do you make regular tag collars for dogs? TOP

Currently I donate brand new collars and leashes to ALL of the dogs at one large Greyhound Rescue. I also help them out with with collars and collar and leash sets as fundraising items for their events. This is a substantial committment and they depend on me to help. I also donate to our local no-kill stray dog and cat rescue shelters. At this time I am not able to take any further requests. How do I contact you? TOP
